New health insurance schemes "Bupa CarePro" and "Bupa Care Kid"
with extra cancer treatment and kidney dialysis coverage and child discount

Bupa Health Insurance announced today the launch of "Bupa CarePro" and "Bupa Care Kid", providing comprehensive protection to a health-conscious generation. Both schemes offer an extra cancer treatment and kidney dialysis coverage to ease the heavy financial burden of those patients as well as a 50% child discount to encourage the public to plan ahead for themselves and their families.

As we all know the government is trying to reduce the burden on the Hospital Authority by encouraging healthcare reform. In support of this Bupa, as the health insurance specialist, is launching two new health insurance schemes "Bupa CarePro" and "Bupa Care Kid", providing comprehensive protection of Hospital and Surgical Benefit, Clinical and Hospital Cash Benefit to a health-conscious generation. Both schemes provide four different options, namely Hospital Care (Hospital and Surgical Benefit), World Care (Hospital and Surgical Benefit + Clinical Benefit), Hospital Care Plus (Hospital and Surgical Benefit + Hospital Cash Benefit) and World Care Plus (Hospital and Surgical Benefit + Clinical Benefit + Hospital Cash Benefit), allowing customers to choose flexibly according to their needs. In addition, a Supplementary Major Medical Benefit is designed for the reimbursement of eligible expenses exceeding the maximum limit of Hospital and Surgical Benefit. Any person aged 18 or above is welcome to enrol Bupa CarePro while Bupa Care Kid is designed for children aged from 15 days to 17 years of age.

We all know that cancer and kidney diseases can effect many people. In view of the early occurrence of cancer and higher treatment cost due to the advanced medical technology, Bupa has added an extra cancer treatment and kidney dialysis coverage up to HK$100,000 per contract year under Hospital and Surgical Benefit, to ease the heavy financial burden of those patients who need to treat cancer by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, cyberknife and gamma knife or perform kidney dialysis.

To encourage parents to drive health management with their children in the families, Bupa has specially introduced a fabulous child discount. If parents enrol Bupa CarePro for themselves and enrol Bupa Care Kid for their child, every single child will enjoy a 50% discount on Hospital and Surgical Benefit. The entitled discount is applicable to the first contract year and all subsequent guaranteed renewal years. From now till 31 May 2007, the whole family is entitled to free theme park entry tickets in Hong Kong upon successful enrolment.

Furthermore, Bupa has also introduced no claim renewal discount as rewards to customers for their early planning. Customers can enjoy 5%, 10% or 15% discount on the renewal subscription of Hospital and Surgical Benefit (H&S) of next contract year if no claim payment is made under H&S Benefit for 2, 4 or 6 consecutive contract years or longer.
