The First-Ever Hong Kong Yogathon Charity Fundraising Event sponsored by Bupa
The first ever Hong Kong Yogathon, sponsored by Bupa, was held today at the Happy Valley Racecourse. The event operator – Hong Kong Yogathon (Intl.) Co. Ltd. wished to promote a healthy lifestyle through the many benefits of Yoga practice. The event attracted many Yoga aficionados around the world and we hope that they will spread the news so that we will have an even greater following next year.
Great success for the first ever Hong Kong Yogathon
Over 300 people attended the Hong Kong Yogathon and have had professional yoga masters from India led and guided them to the way of Yoga. The participants practiced continuously from 2pm – 8pm, it was the first Yoga Marathon ever held in Hong Kong. All those participated received a certificate from the Hong Kong Yogathon organization with Yoga Federation of India´s acknowledgement, and they all look forward to future yogathons.
A Charitable Cause
After deducting the cost of the event, the event operator will donate the remaining funds to the "Hong Kong Hereditary and High Risk Breast Cancer Programme", which aims to provide genetic screening for the general public, conducting medical research and raise community awareness regarding breast cancer.
Celebrity Support
Prominent singers Sherman Chung and famous radio & TV programme anchor Michelle Wu attended the opening ceremony of the event and helped cheering on the instructors and participants.
