Bupa health workshop and cooking class was successfully held

Bupa health workshop and cooking class for diabetes was successfully staged on 24 October. Bupa was very pleased to invite registered nutritionist Ms Mylene Khoo and founder chef of Xi Yan Mr Jacky Yu to share their diet tips for diabetes and Jacky also demonstrated how to cook some of dishes that were ideal for members. The event was very successful and effective in sharing healthy diet tips in this light-hearted and interactive way.

Bupa has launched a new episode of "Bu Pa" TV commercial –"No payment to make upon discharge from hospital"

Bupa has received overwhelming response from the TV commercial – "No additional individual loading" launched in first half of this year. Bupa recently launches a new TV commercial – "No payment to make upon discharge from hospital". Same as last TV commercial, it uses the homophonic pun of Bu-Pa in Putonghua to make the audience remember Bupa. The TVC reinforces the advantages of the Bupa HealthCare Card – no hassle of having to make hospital payments and claim reimbursement. The TVC highlights the Group's "Health Insurance Specialist" image and its ability to keep customers' needs top of mind while providing professional medical insurance services.

Bupa Hong Kong HR Manager helps build health centre in Ecuador

Bupa Asia Pacific has organized a global volunteering activity called the Ecuador Challenge. The HR Manager of Bupa Hong Kong joined it and travelled to Ecuador to build a health and wellbeing centre in the remote agricultural community of Miraflores in Ecuador.

Working alongside the Martha Estrella Foundation - a registered charity based in Ecuador that helps communities find lasting solutions to improve social and economic conditions - the Ecuador Challenge will be coordinated and funded by Bupa, as part of the company's Community Connections program. In addition, each volunteer will raise HK$10,000 or more to contribute towards long term improvements for people in the Miraflores community.

During the 10-week challenge, the team will build a centre that will house medical and dental facilities, a childcare facility where village children will be cared for while their parents work, educational facilities, and an IT suite.

IHI Hong Kong successfully transferred its business to Bupa (Asia) Ltd

The branch office of International Health Insurance danmark a/s (IHI) in Hong Kong has completed its legal process of business transfer to Bupa (Asia) Ltd. Following the transfer, the IHI brand name will be maintained as ihi Bupa and the main centre of operations will continue in Denmark through the new Danish branch office called Bupa Denmark.
