If you use a medical card to reserve clinical treatment, you do not need to go through a claims procedure.

Bupa HealthNet Card (Clinical benefit)
User guide
- If you claim a network benefit, please use this medical card.
- Present your Bupa HealthNet card when you consult a network doctor.
- If you consult a specialist, receive physiotherapy, or have a diagnostic imaging examination or laboratory test, please present your medical card and the referral letter from your doctor.
- You do not need a referral letter when you consult a gynaecologist, paediatrician or family medicine practitioner.
- After your treatment, sign the claim form provided by the clinic.
Pre-authorisation
- You will need pre-authorisation if a diagnostic imaging or laboratory test costs more than HK$1,000 or the specialty treatment referred by a network doctor is outside the network.
- The network doctor will complete the required form for you and fax it to Bupa for approval.
- We will reply to the network doctor. Please sign the form and get the approval document.
- Please present this medical card, referral letter from your doctor and approval document to the network diagnostic centre.
- For any treatment by a specialist whose specialty is not available in the network, please submit a claim form after your treatment.
