"I have been the Bupa´s member since 1996. I have lodged claims several times in the past and was impressed by Bupa for its efficiency and high reimbursement in my claims settlement. Later when I used the medical card service, I found it was really convenient and relieved me of the hassle of making pre-payment so that I could receive a fast treatment. What´s more, there were no bills to pay and claim procedure to follow after hospital stay." Mr Kwok said.
Mr Kwok got his back injured in March 2008 that he was unable to work as usual. He received physiotherapy at first in the hospital but it did not help. Later, he was recommended by The Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital´s doctor to have an epidural injection to ease pain effectively.Mr Kwok commented, "Luckily, I have got the Bupa CarePro´s medical card with me which lifted my worries about the expenses because the hospitalisation and treatment fees of more than HK$50,000 was paid by Bupa directly to the hospital. The medical card gave me unprecedented convenience that freed me from having to settle the medical bills and claim reimbursement. The only thing I need to do was to sign on the designated form only."

Mr and Mrs Chan - 8 years of individual membership, shares the benefit of full cover
"I feel great about the scheme which fully covers eligible medical expenses. We don´t need to worry about claim limits that we can even opt for a private room, where it is more comfortable and easier for me to take care of my husband," Mrs Chan said.
Mr Chan, an assistant chief editor and Mrs Chan, a general manager of an advertising and publishing company, have always valued the importance of medical insurance, that´s why they have enrolled in the Bupa Care scheme. Three years after enrolment, Mrs Chan was admitted to a private hospital because of gastroenteritis, and that experience triggered her to better understand her needs. "I had to pay more than $4,000 for treatment for such a minor illness. The expenses would be much higher definitely if I get a more serious illness in future," Mrs Chan explained. Therefore, she decided to enrol in the Bupa Crystal scheme, which provides a higher claim limit, and fully covers all eligible medical expenses.
Last year, Mr Chan stayed in The Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital (HKSH) where he underwent an endoscopy to investigate gastroduodenal problems. He had to have a polyp surgically removed. As both his specialist and the hospital are part of the Bupa CrystalNet, Mr Chan did not need to make any payment on discharge. Bupa settled the bill of more than $30,000 directly with the hospital.
Mrs Chan said she has referred many of her friends to Bupa´s medical insurance schemes. Initially, she chose Bupa for the "guaranteed lifelong renewal" feature, and she has always acknowledged the company´s good reputation in medical insurance. "I am very satisfied with Bupa´s service. From enrolment to claim application, the procedure is very simple and fast. I have lodged a claim in the past, the surgical and hospitalisation expenses of about HK$60,000 was reimbursed directly to my bank account in just 5 working days, even before I received my credit card statement." Mrs Wong said.
Mrs Wong hit her head by accident in October 2004 and felt dizzy and vomit afterwards. Although she has been admitted to the hospital several times but still not yet recovered. At last, a doctor recommended her to have a brain scan.
Her friend who worked in an insurance company told her that the expenses of the brain scan might not be reimbursed. Mrs Wong said " I was so worried and contacted Bupa immediately. Fortunately, the Customer Care Adviser told me that the hospitalisation and treatment expenses can be reimbursed provided that the examination is proven as medically necessary by the attending physician."
Mrs Wong has lodged another claim 2 months later for her leiomoyomata removal operation and was so impressive by Bupa´s fast claims settlement. She commented, "The hospitalisation and surgical expenses of about HK$60,000 was reimbursed directly to my bank account in just 5 working days, even before I received my credit card statement. Since I need to travel frequently for my work, it is so convenience that the claims payment is credited to my bank account by autopay, instead of by cheque which is a common practice of most insurance companies.
Mrs Wong continued, "I am highly satisfied with Bupa´s service. From enrolment to claim application, the procedure is very simple and fast. The Customer Care Advisers are capable to answer my enquiries clearly. I will continue to renew my scheme with Bupa although I have got the medical cover provided by my company.
As a result of her pleasant experience with Bupa, Mrs Wong has referred her husband to transfer his medical insurance to Bupa 2 years after her enrolment.
