Critical Illness Claims

Bupa’s Critical Essential Illness plan has a simple and straightforward claims process to ease your worries. Simply follow these three steps:

Within 90 days of diagnosis: Submit a completed claim form with required documents.

Examples of Required documents:
  • medical reports
  • laboratory and pathological reports
  • medical certificates
  • hospital discharge slip
  • police reports (for accident-related claims)

Bupa will give you a form of critical illness. Ask your doctor to complete it and the doctor will return it to us.

Once you complete the claim form, please mail it to our Claims Department

After claim submission: Once Bupa receives your claim form and all required documents, you may expect to receive payment in cheque within 12 working days.

Bupa may contact you for more information if necessary.

Useful reminder:

  • If you are a Bupa individual health insurance member, Bupa will assess your hospital claim automatically and pay your eligible treatment costs under the free Medical Top-up Benefit (not applicable to Bupa Wise Choice, Bupa Hospital Cash and Bupa co-brand schemes members).
  • Please obtain the documents that are needed to make a claim. Keep in mind that you will need to pay for the fees charged for issuing the medical report(s).
